The Russian River is beautiful. It starts in the Laughlin Range in Mendocino County, winds through miles of vineyards, threads a path through majestic redwoods, and empties into the Pacific Ocean at Jenner Beach, a place for seals, seagulls and migrating whales. However, the Russian River is facing increasing pressure from pollution, especially plastic pollution from roadside litter. This is a story about 12 Rotary Clubs that took action to clean the river and celebrate UN World Water Day!
