We Love the Russian River – Rotary Clubs Unite for UN World Water Day to Clean the Russian River

The Russian River is beautiful. It starts in the Laughlin Range in Mendocino County, winds through miles of vineyards, threads a path through majestic redwoods, and empties into the Pacific Ocean at Jenner Beach, a place for seals, seagulls and migrating whales. However, the Russian River is facing increasing pressure from pollution, especially plastic pollution from roadside litter. This is a story about 12 Rotary Clubs that took action to clean the river and celebrate UN World Water Day!
