When we choose plant-rich diets, we not only take a huge bite out of greenhouse
gas emissions, we also reduce deforestation, species loss, animal exploitation, soil
degradation, water pollution and depletion. We even address the growing
problems of antibiotic resistance and zoonotic pathogens.
Plant rich diets are very effective at preventing and sometimes even reversing
obesity, high blood pressure, heart disease and type 2 diabetes, while
strengthening our immune system.
Plant-rich means any dietary pattern that consists mostly of vegetables, fruits,
legumes, whole grains, nuts, seeds, herbs and spices.
Here’s your challenge: Starting October 1st begin incorporating more plant
foods into your diet and sustain the change for 30 days! Make small changes or
jump in 100%. Whatever works for you.
